Dumplings are bite sized pockets of savory meat wrapped in a delicate layer of dough. They can be boiled, steamed, or pan fried. Impossible™ Beef Dumplings take the classic Chinese dumpling and give it a plant-based twist. But don't worry, they're still as beefy and meaty as regular dumplings thanks to Impossible Beef Meat From Plants.
Impossible™ Beef is seasoned with zingy ginger, deliciously pungent garlic and fragrant sesame oil. Wrap the filling into the dough using whatever wrapped method you choose, then cook away! These dumplings can be dipped into a delectable sauce with charred scallions, cilantro and tamari. Or, go the classic Chinese route and dip in a black vinegar based sauce.

Dumplings

  • 12 oz Package Impossible Ground Beef Or Lite Ground Beef Meat From Plants
  • 2 tbsp Raw Scallion, Minced
  • 2 tbsp Cilantro, Chopped Fine
  • 1 tbsp Tamari
  • 2 tsp Sesame Oil
  • 1 tbsp Ginger, Grated
  • 1 tbsp Dark Brown Sugar
  • 3 Cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 1 tbsp Seasoned Rice Vinegar
  • 1 Package Wonton Wrappers

Charred Scallion Sauce

  • 4 tbsp Seasoned Rice Vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Tamari
  • 2 Cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 1 tsp Ginger, Grated
  • 3 Whole Scallions, Charred, Trimmed, And Minced
  • 1 tsp Sesame Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Sambal
  • 4 tbsp Cilantro, Chopped Fine
  • 1 tbsp Agave

How to prepare

Step 1: Make the Charred Scallion Sauce

Mix together the charred scallion sauce ingredients until well incorporated.

Step 2: Assemble the Dumplings

Mix together the dumpling ingredients. Portion 2 teaspoons of filling into the center of a dumpling wrapper, and then form your favorite dumpling shape. We love this method: moisten the outer edges with some water, then fold one corner over the filling to form a triangle and press the edges together firmly to seal. Fold the outer corners towards the middle so one overlaps the other. Pinch them together firmly to seal, using water as needed to ensure dough sticks together. Continue with remaining filling and wrappers.

Step 3: Cook and Serve

Steam in a steamer basket or cook dumplings in a large pot of boiling water for approx. 5-7 minutes or until dumpling wrappers are transparent and filling is cooked through. Serve with the charred scallion dipping sauce, and add some heat with your favorite red oil chili crisp sauce.
