The chicago hot dog is one of many iconic hot dogs in America. It has working class origins and immigrant influences. The chicago hot dog took hold during the Great Depression what with it being delicious, cheap, topped with “nutrients” in the form of condiments. After the Depression, the hot dog stuck around in middle-class Chicago. Hot dog stands can still be found today around the city.
Try this tasty take on a Chicago-style hot dog featuring Impossible™ Beef Hot Dogs Meat From Plants. What makes a hot dog Chicago-style is that it uses a beef hot dog served in a poppy seed bun with yellow mustard, sweet pickle relish, chopped onions, tomato slices, pickle spears, sport pepper, and celery salt. It's savory, beefy, tangy, and sweet, all packaged in a convenient to eat bun. Enjoy!
