Impossible™ Sausage Patty Breakfast Quesadillas are easy to make and great for breakfasting on-the-go. The recipe calls for just five ingredients. Simply sear up some Impossible Sausage Patties (savory or spicy, whichever your heart desires) and remove from pan. Then melt butter onto the pan, flop on a tortilla, and sprinkle with cheese. Once melted, add back the Impossible Sausage.

For extra oomph, top your quesadilla with salsa or hot sauce (or both!). This breakfast quesadilla is now ready to be enjoyed on the way to work/school, in the car, or in the background of a zoom call. If you're feeling extra cheffy, leftover scrambled eggs, tofu scramble, or fresh homemade salsa would be incredible additions to this dish.

  • 12.8 oz Impossible™ Savory or Spicy Sausage Patty Meat From Plants
  • 1/2 tsp Butter or Plant-Based Butter
  • 1 Small 4 Inch Flour Tortilla
  • 1/2 cup Grated Pepper Jack Cheese or Plant-Based Cheese
  • Hot Sauce Or Salsa To Taste

How to prepare

Step 1: Cook the Impossible Sausage Patties

Preheat nonstick skillet over medium heat. Place a frozen Impossible Sausage Patty on the skillet, and cover. Cook 2 minutes per side for approximately 4 minutes total or until hot, and remove from pan. Alternatively, microwave patty on high for 1.5 to 2 minutes on a microwave-safe plate.

Step 2: Melt the Cheese

Wipe out the pan you used to cook the sausage patties, and add 1/2 teaspoon butter over medium-low heat. Add the tortilla to the pan and sprinkle the cheese evenly over the tortilla. Crisp the tortilla and melt the cheese. Remove from pan to a plate.

Step 3: Assemble the Quesadilla

Slice the sausage patty in half, and arrange on one half of the tortilla over the melted cheese. Alternatively, chop the patty into pieces and sprinkle over melted cheese. Add some hot sauce or salsa, and then fold the tortilla in half. Wrap in a napkin, and take this easy meal to go! *Enjoy this tasty recipe completely plant-based by substituting plant-based butter and cheese.
