It’s time to make a classic, American favorite, spaghetti and meatballs using easy and delicious Impossible™ Meatballs Made From Plants. Hot marinara sauce, twirling spaghetti, and tasty plant-based meatballs makes this Impossible Spaghetti and Meatballs dish hearty and comforting. If you'd like to get dinner on the table quick, feel free to use your favorite brand of jarred marinara sauce!
But, for the more adventurous, use the legendary sweet and tangy San Marzano tomatoes for an authentic sauce. If you buy San Marzano tomatoes in a can, check to see if the can has the Italian government's DOP label. DOP means Protected Designation of Origin in English and it means the tomatoes are authentically from the San Marzano region. Fresh herbs will also add brightness to your sauce. Enjoy!

12 Ingredients

  • 14 oz Package Homestyle Or Italian Impossible™ Meatballs Meat From Plants
  • 1 lb Spaghetti
  • 1/2 cup Onion, Diced
  • 3 Cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 28 oz Can San Marzano Tomatoes, Diced
  • 1 tbsp Chopped Fresh Thyme
  • 1 tbsp Chopped Fresh Oregano
  • 1 tbsp Chopped Fresh Basil
  • Salt And Pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp Parmesan Cheese, Grated
  • 1 tbsp Chopped Fresh Italian Parsley

How to prepare

Step 1: Boil the Spaghetti

Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add a generous pinch of salt and cook pasta according to the package’s instructions.

Step 2: Make the Marinara and Meatballs

Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the onions and minced garlic, and cook until soft. Add tomatoes and bring to a boil, then lower the heat to a simmer for about 30 min. Add the fresh herbs and continue to cook about about 1 minute, and then season the sauce to taste with salt and pepper. Add frozen Impossible Meatballs to the sauce, and simmer in the sauce until warmed through, about 10-12 minutes. *Alternatively, use a large jar of your favorite store bought marinara sauce in place of the homemade sauce.

Step 3: Serve

To serve, ladle sauce and meatballs over spaghetti and top with parmesan and parsley. Enjoy!
